Reflecting on Laapataa Ladies, Janhvi described the film as a profound experience. “My heart was just full,” she said. “The kind of happiness I get after watching a really good film that moves me internally is unmatched. Laapataa Ladies did exactly that for me.”
She also praised the actors in the film, particularly highlighting Sparsh’s performance, and mentioned that she found Nitanshi Goel, who played the character of Phool, to be adorable.
She also shared her thoughts on 12th Fail, particularly praising Vikrant Massey’s performance. Janhvi was impressed by the film’s unique storytelling approach. “As an actor, the first thing I noticed was Vikrant’s incredible performance. But beyond that, the story itself was so compelling. It didn’t follow the usual rules of storytelling, yet it had a clear and engaging journey. You start rooting for the character from the beginning and the film takes you on this beautiful, honest journey with him.”
Janhvi went on to explain how 12th Fail made her empathize with a world that was previously unknown to her. “I didn’t know anything about the character or his background, but by the end of the film, I felt like I understood it completely. It allowed me to sympathize on a human level, making me a more empathetic person.”
