The Malayalam cinema has taken the world by storm with its content-driven back-to-back blockbuster movies. From Premalu and Manjummel Boys to Aavesham, the cinema has given many successful, entertaining, and thrilling movies in 2024. Taking the legacy forward, Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil has joined hands with celebrated writer and director Jeethu Joseph for a new project.
Jeethu Joseph is known for writing and directing the Malyalam film franchise Drishyam. The movie broke several records and was remade in several languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Mandarin, and more. Moreover, with Fahadh Faasil teaming up with the filmmaker, fans are utterly excited.
Fahadh Faasil to star in Jeethu Joseph’s next
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Jeethu Joseph shared a post confirming a new project with Fahadh Faasil. Written by Santhi Mayadevi, the movie will be bankrolled by E4 Entertainment. The post’s caption read, “Associating Jeethu Joseph and Fahadh Faasil, produced by E4 Entertainment, written by Santhi Mayadevi!!”
Fans widely reacted to the new announcement and wished the makers the best. While one of the users wrote, “Fahadh faasil movies,” another penned, “Wow! Congratulations and let the magic begin.”
Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil has also been working in Tamil and Telugu cinema. However, the actor-producer has often revealed that his heart lies in Malayalam cinema. Recently, during an interaction with Film Companion, the actor revealed that even successful movies like Pushpa have not done anything to him. He said, “I don’t think Pushpa has done anything to me.” The actor then added, “I tell Suku sir [Sukumar] that I don’t have to hide it, I have to be honest, I’m doing my stuff here.” “No disrespect to anything. I don’t think people expect magic from me from Pushpa. It’s pure collaboration love for Suku sir, my stuff is here [Malayalam films], very clearly.”
It would be interesting to see if Faahadh Faasil’s movie with Jeethu Joseph will break previous records set in Malayalam cinema.
