Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham Is Based on True Story?

Fahadh Faasil’s latest action comedy, Aavesham, has grabbed a lot of attention. While the Malayalam actor is known for taking up more intense roles, the new movie features him in a unique look.

With a dense moustache and white ensemble, the actor’s local gangster look has impressed his fans. Amid the buzz, a question has been raised: is Aavesham based on a true story? Scroll down to learn more about it.

Aavesham is widely connected to Romancham as both movies are helmed by Jithu Madhavan. There have been several rumors regarding the two movies following the same storyline. However, Madhavan himself clarified the rumours.

Is Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham look inspired by a real-life goon?

Jithu Madhavan recently joined Aaesham’s team for the movie’s pre-release event in Kochi. During the event, the director clarified that there was no connection between his two movies. As per the Times of India, he said, “While ‘Romancham’ was all about goosebumps, Aavesham is an Excitement. There is no connection between the two. We planned Aavesham as a complete commercial package.”

While the director did not reveal whether the story of Aavesham is based on a true event or not, he did talk about its lead character. Reportedly, Madhavan confirmed that the lead character of Ranga from Aaveshan is inspired by real-life gangsters in Bengaluru.

The director said, “Let me clarify: there is no resemblance to Sayed Mohammed. Both the characters are inspired by the kind of gangsters you see in Bengaluru, but they are not the same.”

During the pre-release event, Fahadh Faasil also allegedly spoke about how he came across Aavesham. He said, “I am doing films I have been offered. But, when this (Aavesham) came to me, I felt I needed to try entertainment, too. We do have other platforms (like OTT) for offbeat films, but Aavesham must be watched in theatres.”
