Pushpa 2: The Rule is just a few months away from its release and fans are eagerly waiting. The movie will see where Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj’s fate will take him in the red sandalwood smuggling business. Several other stars of the movie are confirmed to be reprising their respective roles for its awaited sequel. However, whether Samantha Ruth Prabhu will return to the franchise has been a question. Finally, a report has claimed that the actress will make a special appearance in the movie.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu set the stage on fire with “Oo Antava.” The actress danced to the track with Allu Arjun in the movie and received much praise from the audience. Several rumors about another dance number in Pushpa 2: The Rule has been making rounds in the film circle, but none confirmed the Kushi actress’s return.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu to return in Pushpa 2: The Rule?
The previous rumors suggested several other actresses’ names for a special dance number because Samantha Ruth Prabhu rejected it. Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor led the list and was allegedly roped in for a particular song. As per a report by 123telugu.com, Samantha will have a cameo in Pushpa 2.
The report further confirmed that director Sukumar wants Samantha Ruth Prabhu to do a cameo. Whether it will be a tiny bit at the end of a song or a role has yet to be revealed. It is also rumored that the actress’s cameo might extend in the film franchise’s third part.
Apart from Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna is reprising her role as Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil will play the movie’s antagonist. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the film on a hefty budget. It is currently in production.
Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit the theaters on August 15, 2024.
