Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan was a gigantic hit. It was the first time when SRK collaborated with director Atlee. The movie saw the star in a new avatar with multiple action sequences. The audience has been demanding a sequel since the movie came out in September last year. The film’s director recently hinted at a possible sequel and spilled some details.
Jawan touched many sensitive issues, especially corruption, in the country. Despite the massive cast, the movie’s characters were memorable to the audience. The movie received both commercial and critical acclaim.
Director Atlee teases Jawan 2
The discussions around Jawan 2 have been going on for months now. Atlee has often addressed the public’s demand but did not give a green signal to the project. However, this time, he mentioned the possibility of a sequel with Shah Rukh Khan. During an interaction with ABP, the director promised to surprise the audience with his work.
He said, “I am not sure about it. But I will write something, I will surprise. Every film had a chance of coming up with a sequel but I always surprise the audience with more, different content. So, I will come up with something. Let’s see.”
The director was further asked about when he will collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan again, and he said, “Of course, there is no denial. We will work together. When, how, what, it’s all with Shah Rukh sir.”
Jawan became a star-studded film with many celebrated actors playing crucial roles. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the movie saw Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and many more. Moreover, Vijay Sethupathi played the lead antagonist. The movie is currently available to stream in various languages on Netflix.
