Vidyut Jammwal’s latest sports action drama, Crakk, hit the big screens on February 23, 2024. The movie is also popularly known as Crakk – Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa. While it is currently running in theaters, fans are already anticipating its OTT release. Recent reports confirmed that its digital streaming rights have been secured by a popular OTT platform.
Aditya Datt’s directional, Crakk, also features Amy Jackson, Nora Fatehi, and Arjun Rampal in prominent roles. As per its trailer, the movie promised an exhilarating cinematic experience. Crakk follows the story of Siddhu, a slum dweller in Mumbai, who enters into Maidaan, an underground survival sports competition. This competition is managed by Dev, with unique rules and regulations. The story explores the challenges faced by Siddhu while finding his lost brother, Nihal.
Despite featuring lots of actions and cinematic sequences, Crakk failed to perform well at the box office. As per Sacnilk, it minted around $512K on its opening day but witnessed 49.41% decline on its second day. Not only this, the collection shows a gradual decline at the box office. On day 2, it earned a collection of around $259K. Bringing its overall India’s net collection to $1.2 million (while writing). Moreover, with a budget of $5.4 million, it has been produced under the banner of Action Hero Films.
When is Crakk coming out for OTT?
As mentioned earlier, Crakk is currently gracing the big screens. However, as per a recent OTTplay report, Crakk will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical run. However, it is essential to note that the makers are yet to announce its digital release. For those unaware, as per recent trends, a movie is usually released on OTT platforms only 45 days after its theatrical run.
Apart from this, with a runtime of 2 hours and 34 minutes, Crakk has received a rating of 6.5/10 with around 4.4K votes on IMDb. Moreover, BookMyShow has rated the film with 7.8/10 with around 25.7K votes. Overall, it will be interesting to see with what numbers Crakk ends its box-office run.
