The story begins late at night on a desolate road. Popular actor, Armaan Kapoor’s car, spirals out of control, seemingly swerving to avoid an unseen obstacle before plunging into the ocean. Senior Police Inspector Surjan “Suri” Singh Shekhawat, accompanied by his aide Devrath Kulkarni, initiates an inquiry into the incident. Surjan is struggling with the aftermath of his son Karan’s tragic drowning during a family excursion. This incident has also strained his relationship with his wife, Roshni. Haunted by guilt, Surjan battles insomnia as he delves into the murky depths of the case.
Surjan discovers that on the night of Armaan’s accident, the actor was carrying a hefty amount of cash, which has mysteriously vanished. It comes to light that he had entrusted the money to a pimp named Shashi. Shashi had previously helped cover up a scandal involving Armaan and his friend Sanjay three years ago. After Armaan’s demise, Shashi absconds with the cash. Meanwhile, his associate, Tehmur, starts extorting Sanjay with assistance from an escort named Rosie. In a desperate bid to stop the blackmail, Sanjay orchestrates Shashi’s demise.
Meanwhile, Roshni turns to Frenny Mistry, a medium claiming to communicate with Karan’s spirit, for solace despite Surjan’s skepticism and ire towards her. Meanwhile, Surjan faces a proposition from Rosie but declines. He instead proposes that she becomes an informant for the police. Their investigation takes a pivotal turn when Shashi’s lifeless body is discovered, alongside the blackmail funds and an incriminating DVD. The footage reveals Armaan and his companions Sanjay and Nikhil exiting a hotel with Rosie. She confides in Surjan about a past encounter with Armaan and his friends. This sheds light on a haunting incident from three years prior.

As Surjan delves deeper, he unravels the tragic fate of Nikhil, who has been left in a brain-dead state since the incident. Meanwhile, Tehmur’s extortion scheme, driven by his desire to provide for his prostitute girlfriend, meets a grim end when Sanjay kills him. The police trace the murders back to Sanjay, who confesses a harrowing truth buried in the past. Three years ago, during Armaan’s bachelor celebration, a reckless mistake led to the demise of an escort named Simran. She was abandoned to die on the roadside by Armaan and Sanjay to evade a scandal. Surjan realizes that Simran is actually Rosie.
In a tale woven with deceit and tragedy, Surjan unearths betrayal and guilt, leading to Sanjay’s revelation as the orchestrator of Shashi and Tehmur’s murder. He drives him to the police station. While on the same road where Armaan’s accident occurred, they see Rosie/Simran. Surjan turns his car to avoid hitting her, just like Armaan did, and end up in the water.
Sanjay drowns, but Rosie saves Surjan. After witnessing the entire tragedy, Surjan closes the investigation and declares Armaan’s death as an accident. He goes to the spot where he would meet Rosie and find her buried body. Surjan decides to bid her a proper farewell and organizes her funeral.
Surjan also finds a letter from his son Karan, written by Frenny. The letter tells him not to blame himself for what happened. It adds that Karan wants his parents to be happy. Surjan makes up with his wife, Roshni. In the post-credit scene, two workers put up a sign warning people about the dangerous road where accidents happen.
