The year 2024 is turning out to be a good one for Tamil star Dhanush. After his first release of the year, Captain Miller, the actor, is now gearing up for the release of his 50th project, Raayan. The upcoming movie boasts an ensemble cast, including SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and more. While the makers have begun to tease details about the film, Dhanush recently unveiled Suryah’s intriguing first look.
Raayan marks Dhanush’s return to the director’s chair after his 2017 directorial Pa Paandi. The film marks a crucial milestone in the actor-director’s career and thus is much awaited. Touted to be an action thriller, the film allegedly follows the life of a young man who avenges the death of his family. Reportedly, the movie centers around the social issues of justice and equality.
SJ Suryah pens heartfelt note on working with Dhanush in Raayan
It has been a while since SJ Suryah’s involvement in Raayan was announced. Dhanush recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share Suryah’s first look. In a monochrome picture, Suryah could be seen sitting in a chair with a glass in his hand. His attitude and intense look have grabbed a lot of attention. Sharing the picture, the Captain Miller star wrote, “Raayan Had great fun directing you @iam_SJSuryah sir.”

In response to the tweet, SJ Suryah mentioned how he is grateful to have had the opportunity to work on the project. He wrote, “Sirrrrrr it’s a bliss acting in Ur direction @dhanushkraja sirrrrrr. thx for the opportunity and this tweet of Urs too & friends, as I mentioned earlier RAAYAN is Raw & Rustic yet emotional in international standard. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the movie, while AR Rahman is giving its music. Raayan’s release date has yet to be announced.
