2024 is certainly a great year for Tollywood, as several movies are set to arrive in theaters. Among them, Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated ones. The makers have already begun a countdown for the movie, as it is a few months away now. Now, a recent buzz claims that Pushpa 2 might collide with Nani’s upcoming film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram on Independence Day.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster film Pushpa: The Rise. The movie will show the aftermath of Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa Raj’s rise to fame. As he became a smuggler from a worker, his hurdle-filled journey also made him face many enemies.
Sukumar is directing the film, while Mythri Movie Makers is producing it on a hefty budget. Much like its first installment, the movie is expected to shatter box office records.
Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram release date rumors
Several rumors have been making the rounds about the Pushpa 2 postponement. However, its makers recently confirmed that the movie will arrive on August 15, 2024. They revealed that there are less than 200 days left before the movie’s release.
According to a report by Gulte.com, the makers of Saipodhaa Sanivaaram are also considering the same release date. But there is a catch. Allegedly, if Pushpa 2 is postponed, the makers of Saipodhaa Sanivaaram might lock in August 15 as its release date.
So far, only a few details about Saipodhaa Sanivaaram have been unveiled. The makers dropped an official poster for the movie and an unchained video. Despite that, the upcoming Nani starrer has garnered tremendous attention.
Vivek Athreya is serving as the director of the movie. Priyanka Arun Mohan is playing the leading lady, while SJ Suryah has been roped in for a key role. DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari are bankrolling the film under DVV Entertainment.
