Kohrra

This crime thriller not only has an engaging plot but also caters to the detective fiction-loving audience. Sudip Sharma created Kohrra, and Randeep Jha directed it. Karnesh Sharma produced the series under the banner of Clean Slate Films in collaboration with Netflix. The series stars Survinder Vicky, Barun Sobti, Harleen Sethi, Saurav Khurana, Rachel Shelley, and Manish Chaudhary in lead roles.
The premise of the series revolves around cops Balbir and Garundi, who must unravel the case of a dead groom while also dealing with the turbulence in their own lives. The series has a total of six episodes.
Kohrra premiered on July 15, 2023, on Netflix.
Dahaad

Another police procedural crime thriller that makes the most out of a classic crime-and-punishment tale. Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar created Dahaad, and it was directed by Ruchika Oberoi and Reema Kagti. It stars Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma, and Sohum Shah, among others. Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films produced the series.
The series draws its inspiration from Mohan Kumar, aka Cyanide Mohan, a serial killer infamous for preying on women looking for a match to marry. It follows a Sub Inspector investigating a series of deaths where women are discovered dead in public bathrooms. These deaths first appear to be suicides, but as the investigation progresses, she realizes there’s a serial killer on the loose.
Dahaad premiered on May 12, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video and has a total of eight episodes. It is the first-ever Indian web series to premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Bambai Meri Jaan

A period crime thriller that captures the essence of the city of dreams, Mumbai. Rensil D’Silva and Shujaat Saudagar created Bambai Meri Jaan (Bombay My Beloved), while Excel Entertainment produced it. The series is based on S. Hussain Zaidi’s Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia.
It stars Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Amyra Dastur. Bambai Meri Jaan revolves around an upstanding policeman who is also a devoted family man. He puts everything on the line to clean up Bombay’s streets from the rise of organized crime, which is causing havoc in the city.
The series offers a sneak into the post-independence Bombay and shows an honest cop’s journey as he tries to protect his family. It premiered on September 14, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video and has a total of ten episodes.
The Night Manager

A well-made and praised remake of the British television series by the same name, The Night Manager is created by Sandeep Modi. Both the crime thriller spy series are based on John Le Carre’s novel of the same name. Banijay Asia and The Ink Factory have produced this series.
The Hindi remake stars Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl, and Saswata Chatterjee, among others. The series revolves around an ex-Indian soldier who is recruited by an intelligence operative to infiltrate the inner circle of an international arms dealer.
Part 1 of The Night Manager premiered on February 16, 2023, followed by part 2 on June 29, 2023. The series has a total of seven episodes.
