Dunki Distributors Not Ready To Share Shows With Prabhas’ Salaar, Claim Reports

Dunki and Salaar are set to have an iconic battle at the box office. The two movies will be released a day apart, and their advance bookings have already begun. While Dunki is ahead in the race in India, the Prabhas starrer is no way behind. There is a massive buzz around both movies, and fans are eager to catch them in the theaters. However, some sources recently revealed that the distributors of Shah Rukh Khan‘s film are not ready to share shows with Prashanth Neel’s directorial.

As per a recent report by Indian Express, team Dunki has allegedly clarified they will not share shows with Salaar. A source told the publication, “The clause says, either give us all four shows, or don’t give any. And if you don’t give us, then we will also see what to do in future with other films.” It seems that the two movies are fighting for the best screen time and showcasing, and the battle has already begun.

Dunki distributors demand priority shows

Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s debut collaboration, Dunki, is being distributed by Pen Marudhar. On the other hand, Anil Thadani’s AA Films is distributing Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. The publication’s source revealed that the Dunki team would not get what they had demanded. The source said, “Dunki team’s point of view is that they were the first to announce, so they deserve priority, and on top of that, Shah Rukh is coming with two Rs 500 cr films. They will of course go all out to give it the best possible showcasing.”

Coming to Salaar, the film’s distributors are ready to share shows with Dunki. The insider said, “They are okay with two shows each out of four. The offer is, one prime time show (6.30 PM and 9.30 PM) will go to Salaar, one to Dunki, and the rest two (12.30 PM and 3.30 PM) can be decided by the exhibitors.  So as of now, single screens have opened booking only for Thursday, because exhibitors are yet to decide how to play around this scenario.”

Dunki is hitting the theaters on December 21, while Salaar will be released a day later.
