Story of Chandramukhi is revealed
The film takes a historical turn as Guruji delves into the past, revealing the bitter enmity between Vettaiyan and Chandramukhi. Sengottaiyan was a commander in King Vettaiyan’s army. After conquering the Vijayanagara Kingdom, he forcibly takes a dancer named Chandramukhi to Vettaiyapuram.
King Vettaiyan also becomes enamored by Chandramukhi’s beauty, sparking a confrontation between him and Sengottaiyan. This confrontation results in Vettaiyan’s beheading, and Sengottaiyan declares himself as the new king, adopting the name Vettaiyan. Despite Chandramukhi’s pleas about her love for Gunasekaran, Vettaiyan keeps her captive.
In a tragic turn of events, Gunasekhar is beheaded by Vettaiyan, and Chandramukhi is burnt alive. She returns as a vengeful ghost, tormenting Vettaiyan to the brink of despair. Unable to bear the torment, Vettaiyan further retreats to his secret room. Eventually, a fatal snake bite ends his misery.
How does Chandramukhi 2 ends?
The climax of Chandramukhi 2 portrays an intense battle between the spirits inhabiting Divya and Pandiyan. A sage intervenes, putting an end to Chandramukhi’s reign of terror by sealing her ashes in a portrait. Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan cursed the sage. Only Chandramukhi could behead him.
