3rd annual Fantastic Cinema and Craft Beer Festival now accepting film submissions
Last year, STYD had the honor of attending and serving as a co-sponsor for Little Rock’s Fantastic Cinema and Craft Beer Festival and we had a blast. A great fest, run by passionate weird movie fans, the Fantastic Cinema fest is now rolling into its third year and is now seeking submissions from filmmakers who are not afraid to do what it takes to create films that challenge, inspire, and ultimately thrill audiences. These “fantastic films” will be presented alongside the very best craft beer from the state of Arkansas. Horror movies and beer. It just works…
The 2016 Fantastic Film Festival screened films hot off world premiers at festivals such as SXSW and Sundance Film Festival. “The Smiling Man,” last year’s Best Short Film winner was picked up by Crypt TV where it has been viewed over 5 million times.
This yeat festival is proud to welcome Derek Horne to the programming team as Director of Short Film Programming. Derek has programmed numerous film festivals over the years and currently serves as Director of Short Film Programming at Annapolis Film Festival, the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, and programmer for the DC Shorts Film Festival. He was Director of Talent Relations at Magnet Media, a production company and interactive marketing firm, and worked in the Filmmaker Services Department at Sundance Film Festival for six years, and was the Film Coordinator at Chapman University’s film school for ten years.
Filmmakers wishing to be included in the 2017 festival can submit their film via Film Freeway.
Fantastic Cinema and Craft Beer Festival will take place March 29 thru April 2, 2017. For more information go to the official site. See you at the fest!
