Check out this first photo from the second season of ASH VS EVIL DEAD.
I don’t think any of us expected ASH VS EVIL DEAD to be as ass-kicking awesome as it is.
That first season of Starz’ Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert produced EVIL DEAD sequel series was mety with critical, ratings and most importantly fan approval. It starred (and was co-produced by) cult icon Bruce Campbell who continued the arc etched by in the first three EVIL DEAD films playing Ash Williams, the chainsaw handed killer of the deadites who accidentally brings back a plague of the dead…and they’re infinitely more dangerous (and filled with fluids) than ever!
The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.
The cast is led by Bruce Campbell and Lucy Lawless (XENA) as Ruby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon; Ray Santiago stars as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ashs loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin; and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against the Deadites. Lee Majors (THE FALL GUY), Ted Raimi (virtually every film his brother Sam has made) and Michelle Hurd join the series this year as Brock Williams, Ashs father, Chet Kaminski, Ashs childhood best friend, and Linda, Ashs high school love, respectively.
ASH VS EVIL DEAD returns this Fall.
We’ll cover it to death, natch.
