Thomas Dekker to Direct Jack Goes Home

Noted horror fan and frequent genre performer Thomas Dekker (HeroesLaid to RestThe Sarah Connor Chronicles) will helm Jack Goes Home, a psychological horror film starring Nikki Reed and Britt Robertson.

Written by Dekker, Jack Goes Home concerns “a magazine editor named Jack who lives in Los Angeles. After his father is killed in a car crash, Jack travels home to Colorado to help nurse his mother (who was injured in the crash) back to health. There, he uncovers long buried secrets and lies within his family history, his parents, his friends and his very identity.”

Reed, of Thirteen and the Twilight films, previously co-starred with Dekker in Enter the Dangerous Mind (aka Snap). Here, she’ll play Jack’s best friend, while Tomorrowland‘s Robertson will be Jack’s pregnant fiancee.

Dekker tells THR, “This is the kind of horror film that cannot be easily relegated to the slasher shelf. It is equal parts a family drama and, most importantly, a musing on grief.”
