The hyper first footage for Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk & Ian Brennan’s upcoming slasher comedy series, Scream Queens, delivers on its title.
Preceded by a number of stylistic promos, here is the first proper look at Scream Queens, the horror-comedy series from the creators of Glee and American Horror Story. Starring Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Lea Michele, Oliver Hudson and scream queen great Jamie Lee Curtis. Ariana Grande & Nick Jonas are also set to guest star.
Scream Queens looks a bit of bubblegum horror, informed by the bright colors of its sorority setting. The series concerns a series of murders on a college campus. Murphy previously described it as a whodunit and last month explained, It opens in a flashback to 1995 at the sorority where something horrible happens. Its a mystery that goes unsolved. Flash forward 20 years to today, and it looks like someone is out for revenge. Something horrible happened to a pledge and on the anniversary of that crime, someone is out for vengeance.
The killer is dressed as the school’s Red Devil mascot, which you’ll see briefly in the new preview. Scream Queens premieres this fall on FOX.
