A rather fun, creature-y pic from the killer wasp film Stung surfaced at Twitch (the team there is involved in the production). I love it, because it evokes a vibe I got from early-’90s creature flicks teased in the pages of Fangoria (Ticks, anyone?).
The film, shooting now, stars Peter Stormare, Lance Henriksen, Jessica Cook and Matt O’Leary.
In Stung, a fancy garden party goes terribly wrong after a local species of wasps mutate into giant predators. It’s up to Paul and Julia, two catering staffers at the high-society event, to stop the killer creatures – an effort that kick starts a budding romance between the two.
