Stage collapse sends 10 to hospital
Ten unnamed actors and crews members were sent to the hospital after a stage collapsed on the set of Resident Evil: Retribution.
The fifth film in the franchise is currently shooting in Toronto, Canada under the direction of Paul W.S. Anderson.
The Hollywood Reporter says the accident occurred this morning at Cinespace Film Studios when a wheeled platform carrying cast and crew buckled while it was being moved. THR reports 16 total were injured. Ten were being treated for not life-threatening injuries at an area hospital.
The film stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Shawn Roberts, Johann Urb, Kevin Durand, Boris Kodjoe and Li Bingbing.
