Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive: Francis Ford Coppola on Twixt

The genesis of his gothic mystery

Francis Ford Coppola made his first appearance at Comic-Con since he previewed Bram Stoker’s Dracula to San Diego attendees in the early ’90s. The director of classics such as The Godfather and Apocalypse Now was there to show off footage from his latest endeavor, Twixt. With 3-D glasses that came in the form of Edgar Allan Poe’s face, a Hall H audience got a first glimpse at the film starring Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning and Ben Chaplin.

Our man, Peter Brown, was there and he’ll be providing a full panel write-up soon. While you wait for that, here’s an exclusive one-on-one chat he had with Coppola.
