A new slasher icon in the making?
Joseph Kahn began shooting the horror-comedy Detention in Los Angeles over the summer with a cast that includes Dane Cook and Josh Hutcherson.
The title doesn’t exactly inspire promise and the casting of Dane Cook, well, he may or may not be your cup of tea. But today, Joseph Kahn (thanks to Dev for the heads-up at Bad Ass Digest) updated his Twitter account with the below photo which has me thinking we might have a film on the way that’s a cut above the derivative.
Kahn calls this character you see Cinderhella. Cute. His film concerns a group of teens in their final year of high school who must contend with a movie slasher who has come to life. Is this the slasher…or one of many? The director says he’s still in post-production. Stay tuned for more.
