Bousman blogs post-production progress
Filmmaker Darren Lynn Bousman posted a new blog entry with a post-production update on his remake of Mother’s Day, paired with a new image pictured below.
While the hope was to get the movie out by mother’s day of 2010, the filmmakers are not settling on an official release date for the independently financed flick until a distribution company picks it up and they’ll begin screening it for studios immediately. We probably won’t see a trailer either until distribution is locked.
“I think fans of the original Charles Kaufman film will find a lot to like in this version. Yes, itâs completely different, but at its core â itâs the same perverse story of Mother and her kids,” writes Bousman.
“In my opinion, Mother’s Day is the most intense movie I have worked on⦠Not intense due to senseless violence, exaggerated gore, or flashy editing â this is intensity brought on by the amazing ensemble cast â the story, and the moments⦔
