The acclaimed Black List script
Among the scripts that made the Black List, Michael R. Perry’s Voices was one I got my paws on and enjoyed immensely.
In it, the lead, Jerry Hickfang, kills a woman. Okay, simple enough. But soon, he’s starting to listen to his cat and dog, Mr. Whiskers and Bosco, who offer advice on how to cover his tracks. Imagine that scene from Spike Lee’s Summer of Son when Michael Badalucco’s dog starts talking to him. Except on a larger scale.
Vertigo Films is producing and the fellas at /Film have been tipped off that Ben Stiller is their top contender for Hickfang. Mark Romanek, the dude that walked off The Wolfman, is in line to direct.
