Christopher Plummer’s role revealed
Director Scott Stewart is letting the updates about Priest fly on his Twitter account.
Last week, the director announced Christopher Plummer had joined the cast with no word as to who the seasoned actor would play. Stewart revealed recently, Plummer is “Monsignor Orelas, the leader of our Orwellian Church State.”
Furthermore, Stewart says actor Alan Dale (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) is now aboard as Monsignor Chamberlain. The New Zealand actor recently wrapped work on Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.
Opening in theaters on August 13, 2010, Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire. It follows a warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.
Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer and Lily Collins co-star.
