Reuniting with writer-director Adam Green
With Adam Green’s Frozen wrapped and Hatchet 2 on the horizon, I went to cinematic boogeyman extraordinaire Kane Hodder for his take on the upcoming films.
Hodder was on the set of Frozen handling stunt coordinating duties this time around instead of playing the monstrous killer. The film was shot under incredibly difficult conditions (read about ’em here!), so I wondered what his experience was like.
“Frozen had to be the hardest working conditions I ever faced,” Hodder said, sighing audibly. “As far as doing stunts and that kind of thing in freezing cold weather and very heavy snow at times, it was extremely difficult to do. But it’s going to pay off because the movie’s going to look amazing because of the fact that we are at a real location, instead of a soundstage. That fact alone will make the movie look fantastic. Plus, I would go anywhere to work with Adam [Green] because he is such a pleasure and so incredibly talented that I wouldn’t let anything like weather hold me back from working with him”
Since he was so enthusiastic to work with Green again, I figured that he would be very excited to reprise his role as the mutilated killer Victor Crowley in the upcoming Hatchet 2.
“You know I am!” Hodder exclaimed loudly. “[Adam] already told me some of the story, which is amazing. Anytime I do an appearance anywhere people are asking me when I’ll be making part two, so we’re anticipating doing it as soon as possible, but we just don’t know when that might be. I can’t wait to put that hunchback back on.”
Stay tuned for an in-depth interview with Kane about his latest thriller BTK, his love of serial killers and his thoughts on the remake of Friday the 13th.
