Jessica Szohr joins Aja’s remake
E! Online has discovered that Jessica Szohr from the CW series “Gossip Girl” will be joining Dimension Films’ Piranha 3-D, a remake of the 1978 cult classic by Alexandre Aja (Hills Have Eyes. Szohr joins the already announced cast of Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott and Richard Dreyfuss, playing “Kelly, a hot young townie caught up in the excitement of co-eds who have descended upon the area for spring break.”
Being that the movie is about a lakeside town overrun by man-eating razor-toothed fish, here’s hoping she doesn’t go in the water.
Piranha 3-D begins shooting in Arizona later this month and is scheduled to open on March 19, 2010.
