First look at the teaser trailer
Vancouver production outfit Moviehouse Pictures has just released the teaser trailer for its upcoming horror production Slow The Decay, another spin on the vampire genre.
A look at director Dan Zachary’s latest can be found at SlowtheDecay.com along with a behind-the-scenes make-up featurette with FX artist Warren Kirschner.
For now, the teaser is merely a device to lure in more funding to bring this project to fruition. Set in Seattle, the story concerns a man who loses his wife to a mysterious illness. She returns from the grave with a insatiable appetite for blood. Out of love, her man takes strides to keep her happy but winds up becoming a monster himself.
Zachary co-wrote the script with executive producer Trevor Trombley and Jason Woodford.
“We’re excited about the film – the screenplay has many layers and sets out to give the audience something fresh and new from the vampire genre,” says Trombley. “With the right people on board we expect to get into production later this year. Vampire movies all seem to be the same right now, but the Swedish film Let The Right One In was a breath of fresh coffin air. We want Slow The Decay to be like that.”
