Bright future for Nite Tales
The urban anthology horror film Nite Tales is being developed into a full-fledged weekly series. This venture is spearheaded by director Deon Taylor (Chain Letter) and the newly formed TriStar Media.
Although Nite Tales aired on on BET last Halloween, that does not guarantee the series will find a home there. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taylor and company are seeking a cable partner. The show is a blend of Tales from the Crypt and The Twilight Zone with host Flavor Flav serving as a Crypt Keeper of sorts. Taylor says he’ll be holding an online contest to offer horror fans a chance to name Flav’s character.
The director also has has plans to do another Nite Tales feature film entitled Terminated with Thomas H. Fenton who takes “story by” credit on Saw IV.
Nite Tales hits DVD February 3rd. For a trailer and more, just click on the title.
