Both dropping in this April
Fabrice du Welz’s Vinyan will makes its way to DVD courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on April 7th.
With this announcement, the studio has provided us with a new synopsis: A couple leaves the civilized world behind and descends into a living nightmare in this chilling horror thriller. Six months after losing her only child in the Southeast Asia tsunami, Jeanne is convinced she sees him in a film about orphans living in the jungles of Burma. While her husband is worried that she’s losing her mind, he agrees to a search mission. Introduced to a dangerous gang of human traffickers, who leave them stranded, the couple descend upon a treacherous jungle and plunge into a supernatural kingdom where the dead never really die.
Rufus Sewell and Emmanuelle Béart star as the couple caught up their search. Sony acquired the film shortly after the Toronto International Film Festival last year.
Also arriving in April is Rob Hall’s slasher film Laid to Rest. Anchor Bay is giving it a DVD premiere on April 21st. A few theatrical screenings are expected before then.
