Furman Directing Valet Thriller

WB fast-tracking for ’09

Warner Bros. has hired director Brad Furman to tackle Valet while Matthew Aldrich has been brought in to do a rewrite of Alan McElroy’s screenplay.

Shooting will begin in the first quarter of 2009, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Inspired by true events, the film follows a parking attendant who becomes obsessed with a female customer and systematically inserts himself into her life. Nicole Rocklin and Wendy Rhoads are producing, along with Alcon’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Alcon’s Steven Wegner and Jesse Israel are executive producing.

Furman previously helmed The Take a crime thriller starring John Leguizamo and Tyrese Gibson.
