Uwe Boll Talks Latest Opus: Jail

Prison thriller starring Edward Furlong

The auteur known as Uwe Boll continues on with his good work. His next? A thriller tentatively titled Jail. Inspired by true events, the story concerns the death of a prison inmate who was tortured and raped while incarcerated. Principal photography has begun with Edward Furlong leading the cast and longtime partner Dan Clarke producing. Steffen Mennekes (Bloodrayne 2), Sam Levinson (Bandits) and Shaun Sipos (Lost Boys: The Tribe) co-star.

A series of video interviews with Boll, along with some behind-the-scenes footage, are now up at Movie Set where the good doctor touches on the film’s heavy subject matter, casting Furlong (“Was it difficult getting Edward Furlong?” I would think not) and more…

It sounds like Boll is trading in his horror hat for something more dramatic this time around. We’ll keep you updated!
