Weinstein Co. handling int’l release
Warner Brothers has signed on for domestic distribution of three films financed by Media Rights Capital: helmer Richard Kelly’s The Box, starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella; “This Side of the Truth,” starring, co-written and directed by Ricky Gervais; and “Shorts,” written and directed by Robert Rodriguez.
Warner and Radar Pictures will co-finance The Box, a film based on Richard Matheson’s short story “Button, Button.”
The Weinstein Company has international distrib rights for the film.
