Coverage begins on August 24th
Rue Morgue Magazine‘s Festival of Fear, a gathering of ghouls, creeps and sundry of industry professionals (ghouls and creeps in and of themselves), returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre August 24 – 26 boasting a remarkable lineup of guests and events.
In years past the show has headlined some terrific guests of honor, but this year is truly unique in that Italian shock master Dario Argento is taking a leap across the Atlantic for a special appearance to talk about his upcoming capper to the “Three Mothers” trilogy Mother of Tears. Joining the maestro are his Two Evil Eyes pals, George A. Romero (Diary of the Dead) and actress Adrienne Barbeau, as well as the lovely Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni (Opera) who will next be seen in “Tears.”
Malcolm McDowell (Halloween), the Godfather of Gore, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Angela Bettis (Scar, May), acclaimed artist Basil Gogos, KNB FX’s Greg Nicotero, Steve Niles (30 Days of Night), the Suicide Girls and many more are expected to show. Click here for the full rundown as well as a listing of panels that will unfold over the weekend including a sneak peek at Victor Garcia’s 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails (check out some exclusive pics here).
ShockTillYouDrop.com will be touching down in Toronto Friday to begin our coverage of the event; it’ll be this writer’s third year in attendance so we’ll do our best to blow this puppy out of the water. All you need to do is kick back and, beginning August 24th, keep your eyes peeled to this page for round-the-clock updates.
