Del Toro Loves His Ghost Kids

Comes aboard Changeling remake

Anne Thompson of Variety is the latest journalist dissecting the horror genre and its fluctuating trends. In her column “No horror story for studio genre labels” it is revealed Guillermo del Toro is producing Rogue’s remake of the 1980 Peter Medak film The Changeling.

In the original, George C. Scott played a grieving man who moves into a mansion and is haunted by the ghost of a murdered child. Given Del Toro’s history with The Devil’s Backbone and the upcoming The Orphanage, “Changeling” seems to be a perfect fit into his ouvre.

How and when he’ll make time to oversee the production is the big question.
