Just in time for the Tribeca Film Fest
At long last, a trailer for Matt Leutwyler’s creature feature Unearthed is now online. You can find it here at the Tribeca Film Festival website.
The fest will host Unearthed‘s world premiere on April 27th with three more screenings to follow (check the site for details). These screenings will mark the end of a very long journey for Leutwyler who has been at work on the film since 2005, the same year his jump into horror, the zombie comedy Dead & Breakfast, made its splash on DVD via Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Leading lady Emmanuelle Vaugier (Saw II) plays a sheriff who’s small town in New Mexico is upturned by the presence of a being buried long ago. Similar to films like Tremors and Feast (although I see a little bit of The Being in here, too), Unearthed pushes an ensemble cast – Luke Goss (Blade II), Beau Garrett (Turistas), Miranda Bailey (Dead & Breakfast), Russell Means (Pathfinder) – into survival mode to fend off the otherworldly creature. Executive producer TyRuben Ellingson (Hellboy) designed said beast and its many accoutrements.
You can find the official site for the film here; expect cast and crew interviews at ShockTillYouDrop.com soon!
