MAKEMATE 1 Announces Debut K-Pop Boy Group NouerA & Members

KBS reality show MAKEMATE1 recently announced the winner’s lineup, which includes seven new members. The winners will debut under the group NouerA. This article looks at the profiles of NouerA members and learn more about the new group’s debut.

MAKEMATE1 started with 34 male K-pop trainees of various nationalities. The KBS show aired in May and ended in July. After the finale, KBS revealed the new group’s name, meaning, and release date window.

As per the network, NouerA signifies a group of no boundaries who can act boldly. “Nouer” means “to tie together,” and “erA” stands for era. So NouerA implies the group will connect eras through their music.

MAKEMATE 1’s debut K-pop boy group NouerA: Who are the members?

MAKEMATE1 show’s debut group, NouerA, will have seven members: Noh Gihyeon, Jeon Junpyo, Jang Hyunjun, Han Yuseop, Lin, Bing Fan, and Miraku. The group will promote all its music and entertainment activities under Nouer Entertainment and officially debut in January 2025.

Noh Gihyeon

NouerA’s Noh Gihyeon is the oldest member of the new group. The 21-year-old K-pop rookie is a former member of trainee group Daily Note. Noh Gihyeon’s role model is SHINee star Onew. He ranked 5th in the finale of MAKEMATE1 with over 5,965 points.

Jeon Junpyo

(Birthday: May 25, 2003)

The South Korean trainee Jeon Junpyo is the second oldest member of NouerA. His role model in K-pop is NCT star Ten. Junpyo ranked sixth at the finale of MAKEMATE1, securing over 5,862 points.

Jang Hyunjun

(Birthday: November 29, 2003)

Jang Hyunjun ranked 4th in the MAKEMATE1 final round, gaining over 6,131 points. The third oldest member of the group shared that BTS Jungkook is his biggest music inspiration. The 21-year-old rookie star could become the leader of NouerA.

Han Yuseop

(Birthday: May 6, 2004)

Han Yuseop earned his spot in the limelight after appearing in Mnet’s show Boys Planet. He ranked seventh in the MAKEMATE1 finale with 5,757 points. Justin Bieber, Taeyang, WINNER star Mino and B.I. (Hanbin) are his role models. Before joining the KBS show, Yuseop was a former trainee at 143 Entertainment and Jellyfish Entertainment.

Lin Han Zhong

(Birthday: December 30, 2006)

Chinese-Korean trainee Lin Han Zhong ranked second in the MAKEMATE1 finale after gaining over 8,583 points. The 18-year-old rookie is a big fan of R&B and Hip-Hop music. He considers ENHYPEN star Heeseung his role model in the K-pop industry.

Bing Fan

(Birthday: November 10, 2007)

Chinese trainee Bing Fan is one of the youngest members of the new group. The former Chromosome Entertainment trainee shared that his role model is NCT Haechan. He ranked first in the MAKEMATE1 finale with 9,020 points. Bing Fan was a fan-favorite trainee right from the beginning.

Miraku

(Birthday: February 13, 2008)

Miraku is the youngest member (maknae) of NouerA. He is also the only Japanese trainee to make it to the MAKEMATE1 winners lineup. The 16-year-old rookie ranked third at the finale with 6,239 points. He shared that his biggest inspiration in K-pop is ASTRO members. Miraku’s position in the group is yet to be determined. However, throughout MAKEMATE1, he has shown his all-rounder skills and is equally fluent in singing and dancing.

Before the official debut, NouerA opened its Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and Weibo accounts. Many fans were confused about the group’s music agency, Nouer Entertainment, which was created to promote the group.

As per Korean reports, Nouer Entertainment is a part of the parent company, MAKESTAR. The sub-label will help NouerA establish their career. Unlike the Mnet reality show group, which disbanded after a few years, NouerA could stay longer due to the new arrangement of MAKESTAR.
