A week ago, multiple media outlets reported that Berry, along with Glenn Close, had officially joined the series featuring Kim Kardashian. Their characters weren’t disclosed, but for Berry, this was supposed to be her first regular TV role. Recently, Variety reported Berry’s exit, citing a close source who mentioned “scheduling conflicts.”
Ryan Murphy will helm the legal drama while also co-writing with Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene, and Richard Levine. The series will focus on a successful woman running an all-female law firm. According to Deadline, Murphy describes the drama as a “high-end, glossy, and sexy adult procedural.”
20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television are the official producers. Moreover, Kardashian, Close, Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Murphy will executive produce the series.
Speaking of Berry’s upcoming projects, she will play Roxanne in The Union, scheduled to release on August 16. Directed by Julian Farino, the spy-comedy movie will see a construction worker dragged into an espionage world by a former sweetheart.
Meanwhile, she is also involved in another feature film, Never Let Her Go. Currently, the movie is in its post-production stage. Berry will play the lead in this survival horror movie about evil spirits plaguing an innocent family’s lives.
