Digga D plays the role of Chucky and he shows up in Episode 2 of Supacell.
Digga’s character Chucky is a member of a gang called Sixers. The gang is a rival to the group led by Tazer played by Josh Tedeku. Despite the brief appearance, the rapper’s character has piqued interest among fans. Additionally, he has composed songs for the series like “Chucky On Live” and “Talk Yo Sh*t.”
How did Digga D get his role in Supacell?
In the recent Winners Talking Podcast, showrunner Rapman talked about how Digga D got his role in Supacell. He said, ”I see why Digga is a g yeah, we had other, I am not gonna say names but there are other people who are very influential in this scene who wanted to be in the show, so I hit them up, I said, ‘Boom, cool. Come through an audition.’ So the day of the audition they’re booked on and then what happened to them? Their team called the opposite and they shouldn’t have to audition, they should just get it offered to them, a sense of who they are. “
He further praised the rapper saying, ” I said cool forget them. Digga’s album just went number one, I said, ‘Bro, Digga ain’t gonna do this now he’s number 1. His album just went number one. He is just the talk of the country.’ He come on the audition like raps happy to do, can I do it this way, do you mind if I interpret this way, can I be more like myself, and I say he was so cool and I never forget he done the and he killed. I was just leaving and he goes, ‘Wait, I just want to thank you for this opportunity.’ So respectful, ready to learn, so talented and he auditioned, he was happy when he got the role like everybody had to audition there was no role gift.”
Supacell premiered on June 27, 2024, with six episodes. It revolves around a group of six black people suffering from sickle cell disease which ends up giving them superpowers.
