Is Maura West’s Ava Jerome leaving General Hospital after Season 61?
As of now, there is no confirmation about Ava Jerome leaving General Hospital after Season 61.
The rumors of Ava Jerome’s exit were started by The Chat podcast host Casey who is also a known soap opera insider. Casey’s social media post spread like wildfire as she told fans that one of their favorite female characters will leave this year. Last month, she wrote on X, “Expect a very very popular and beloved actress to possibly be out this year. I’d be shocked if the original path doesn’t go to plan. #GH.” Fans grew concerned that the actress could be Maura given the character’s dark past, tampering with medicines and hiding secrets. However, viewers must look forward to the episodes as there is no confirmation on Maura’s exit yet.
Will Ava Jerome die in General Hospital Season 61?
There are speculations on the current storyline leading to Ava’s exit but an official confirmation is awaited.
In the recent episodes, Ava found out that Sonny Corinthos’s bipolar medication is being interfered with. However, she decides to keep this information to herself which could lead to dangerous consequences. The character made more enemies as she was revealed as the one responsible for Alexis Davis losing her legal license. It resulted in her being kicked out of Sonny’s penthouse and a nasty argument between the two.
However, Maura West does not seem concerned about her troublesome character’s future. She spoke to Women’s World saying, “I don’t think that redemption is necessary for a bad girl or a borderline villain.” Maura added, “Ava does not exist to be nice and friendly and get along with everybody and be like, ‘Hi, Carly! How’s life?’ No, I’m here to be the bad girl. That’s what I do.”
