Many fans are excited to find out if it’s true that Jujutsu Kaisen is doing a collab with McDonald’s and if there will be a JJK Happy Meal. Recently, McDonald’s hinted on its X (formerly Twitter) account that they are having a collab with Gege Akutami’s hit series. So, here is everything we know so far about the Jujutsu Kaisen x McDonald’s collab.
Is there a Jujutsu Kaisen and McDonald’s collab?
McDonald’s has collaborated with Jujutsu Kaisen for a new nugget sauce called the Special Grade Garlic Sauce, exclusively available on their app in the United States from July 9. Crunchyroll reports that the special sauce’s lids will feature characters like Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Mahito.
Those who order on the app can get the sauce for free when you order Chicken McNuggets. With each sauce order, you will also get a 30-day trial of Crunchyroll for free.
McDonald’s posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying that something “SPECIALZ” is coming. If you go to their profile, their profile photo and header have pictures of cursed energy. The profile’s bio has also changed to “hi welcome to my malevolent kitchen.”
JJK fans located in the United States have mentioned on Reddit that the McDonald’s app currently has a lot of references to the series like the app glitching to show Sukuna’s markings. The app also has a secret screen with Ryoiki Tenkai (Domain Expansion) on it, plus the new sauce as a special grade object. On the app, it says, “Something specialz [is] coming on 7.9.”
Is there a Jujutsu Kaisen Happy Meal?
As of writing, there is no confirmation about a Jujutsu Kaisen Happy Meal.
Following McDonald’s hints surrounding the collab, fans were hoping that the collab would feature more than just the sauce. Some have expressed their hopes on social media for a JJK-themed Happy Meal.
