The new Korean variety show Agents of Mystery premiered on Netflix with all six episodes on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. In the show, the cast members, including Karina, Kim Do Hoon, John Park, Lee Hyeri, Lee Yong Jin and Lee Yun Ji, used their teamwork and quick-thinking to solve thrilling mystery cases.
The final episode of Agents of Mystery showcased the third part of “The Deep Sea Mystery.” The case took place inside a submarine named Midas. In the episode, the agents had to find out what happened to the submarine’s crew members and Chairman Jang Man Gyeong. They also had to find a way to defeat the monster inside Midas and escape.
Agents of Mystery Ending: The team of six agents successfully escaped the monster
The finale episode of Agents of Mystery began right where the previous episode ended. All six cast members watched a terrifying video clip. There, they witnessed Ahn Joo Hyoung, who had turned into the monster, merging with the menacing creature inside Submarine Midas. The agents soon realized that the crew were using the submarine for all kinds of dangerous research, not just for the deep-sea creatures. They also noticed Chairman Jang Man Gyeong’s strange behavior.
Soon, after listening to an audio clip, the six agents decided that they had to look for a pack of cigarettes that the chairman was looking for. They knew that the pack would contain something important to solve the case instead of cigarettes. Thus, they started searching for it. They came across a room where they saw something suspicious. They realized that there was a dead body just above the room.
Agent Kim Do Hoon took charge and went up to get the body. After he brought it down, the agents could not find any ID. Thus, Do Hoon had to go up inside the vent again, and this time, he found the ID. It was revealed that the dead body belonged to none other than the chairman.
After that, in the Agents of Mystery finale, the agents find the key to a safe. There, they discovered the cigarette pack and a photo of confidential paperwork. Then they went on to find the paperwork, which was a contract for the “Living Weapon Project”. They learnt that Star & Stone were providing funding for the project.
They then found a cryptogram inside the chairman’s office. As the agents were discussing their strategies, suddenly the monster came running at them. Before it could attack them, they were able to close the door of the room.
Soon, the submarine started to tilt, and they had to stabilize it. After that, the agents were informed that important mail was awaiting in the chairman’s inbox. They needed to use the cryptogram to figure out the security code for the chairman’s inbox. Kim Do Hoon figured it out, and the code was “WORLD.” By going through several emails, the six agents realized that the only thing they would need to defeat the monster was carbon dioxide.
At the end of Agents of Mystery, the six agents were stuck inside the room in Submarine Midas. The monster was screaming and banging on the door. Thus, they immediately needed a way to defeat it so that they could escape. Agent Lee Yong Jin came up with the idea of using fire extinguishers as their source of carbon dioxide to make the monster go away.
Thus, the agents took the fire extinguishers in their hands and opened the door. As the monster tried to attack them, they released the carbon dioxide from the extinguisher on it. This scared the monster, and it began to run away. In this way, the agents were finally able to escape the place. The finale ended with a huge blast in the submarine.
