Season 3 revolved around Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton and Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington. There are high speculations about the next season’s plotline centering around Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton.
As per the Hindustan Times, Newton fuelled rumors when he hinted at Benedict’s story to be the next one in an interview with L’Beaute Homme.
“I love Benedict’s storyline this season. He is very free, and I think that is a very nice place to be on set. He is a free spirit and kind of a rebel. I can’t wait to see Benedict’s story next season,” he said.
Is Bridgerton canceled or renewed after Season 3?
Bridgerton has not been canceled and has been renewed for Season 4.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, during the Season 3 Part 2 premiere in the UK, showrunner Jess Brownell talked about Season 4, giving some insights on the upcoming season’s release window.
She revealed, “We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language. And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range.”
How many more seasons of Bridgerton will there be?
There has been no official announcement regarding the commissioning of additional seasons for the popular Netflix series beyond its confirmed four seasons.
However, during an interview with Variety in April 2024, creator Shonda Rhimes confirmed that she and her longtime producing partner, Betsy Beers, are dedicated to bringing all eight novels from bestselling author Julia Quinn to screens. She said, “I’ll be a granny gumming my food, but we want to make sure that there’s Bridgerton for all of us who love it.”
