Singer Halsey recently made a social media post disclosing her health struggles. In it, she revealed the release of her new single, “The End,” and gave fans a sneak peek into her battle with a chronic disease.

Halsey’s health condition and chronic illness explained
Halsey recently shared a compilation of clips in an Instagram post, revealing that she wrote a new album. She captioned it, “long story short, i’m Lucky to be alive. short story long, i wrote an album. it begins with The End. out now.”
In the first clip, Halsey is seen massaging her legs while groaning in pain. She said, “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m having a rebirth, and I’m not gonna be sick. And I’m gonna look super hot and have lots of energy. And I’m just gonna get to redo my 20s in my 30s.” Halsey also shared a clip from her treatment.
In another post, she is seen strumming a guitar in the studio. Although the singer did not specify her illness, she tagged the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. According to AP News, Halsey will be making donations to both organizations.
In May 2022, following the birth of her baby the previous year, the pop star revealed she was “really, really, really sick” on her Instagram stories, as per NBC News. She wrote, “I got diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).”
According to People, she later clarified in another Instagram story that she didn’t “just get sick” after the birth of her child and that she’d been battling health issues for about 8 years prior to that.
