While speaking with Extra, at the premiere of the latest season of Bridgerton in NYC, the actress playing Penelope Featherington in the series addressed the question. Nicola mentioned that they think it is sweet because they truly love each other. She referred to Luke as a “really special person” in her life. “I’ll never get to do something like this again, on this scale. It’s so nice having such a lovely friend that I can do all this with,” she added.
Upon being questioned about it, Nicola also spoke about Season 3’s sex scenes, saying she was initially terrified to watch them back. However, she further mentioned, “But then when I watched them, I went, ‘No, they’re everything we wanted them to be and more.’ Because they’re really romantic. They’re beautifully written. They feel sexy, they’re exciting. I couldn’t be happier, honestly.”
Also, when asked about how excited she is about the release of the season, Nicola expressed her excitement. She talked about how she could not believe she got to do this and also seemed to have lost track of time as she made it to NYC after just being in Italy.
