In X-Men ’97 Episode 10, Bastion rips away Cable’s metal arm and merges with it to upgrade his form into a more powerful version. He then flies toward Asteroid M, intending to bring it down on Earth. However, the X-Men confront him, with Cyclops attempting to reason with Bastion. Cyclops’ attempts are cut short when the U.S. military launches missiles at Asteroid M, resulting in the core reactor exploding, which ends up seemingly killing Bastion.
