Published by the KH Studio YouTube channel, fans can be sure that the trailer is fake. The channel is known for posting fan-made concept trailers and this new Harry Potter and the Cursed Child trailer is another example.
The trailer uses old footage from past Harry Potter movies while suggesting the return of deceased characters, including Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Robert Pattinson’s Cedric Diggory. But a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child movie based on the popular play has not been put into development by Warner Bros. Discovery. So, it cannot arrive in 2025.
Will Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson return for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child movie?
The story of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play follows Harry’s son, Albus Severus Potter. But since its movie adaptation has not been greenlit yet, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and other original Harry Potter cast members are not returning for it.
Instead, a live-action remake series of Harry Potter has been in development for a while. Per Deadline, it will be “a faithful adaptation” of J.K. Rowling’s iconic books and MAX has a target to release it by 2026.
