Fans wonder if the new Road House movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal has a post-credits or end-credits scene. Here is your answer, but be wary of spoilers.
Does Road House have a post-credits or end-credits scene?
Yes, Road House has a post-credits scene. It is not only visually humorous but also teases a possible sequel.
The post-credits scene or more accurately the mid-credits scene of the movie, reveals that Conor McGregor’s Knox is still alive. He is shown fighting his way out of the hospital where he was treated. Humorously, he exits the emergency ward wearing nothing but a hospital gown, with his backside exposed.
Knox was seemingly killed at the end of Road House after Gyllenhaal’s Elwood Dalton repeatedly stabbed him with a wooden stake during their brawl. Therefore, the fact that he survived is quite shocking.
However, with the post-credits scene confirming his survival, Knox will no doubt want to get revenge on Dalton for his defeat. Thus, setting up the possibility of future conflict between the two in a possible Road House sequel.
Throughout the film, Knox proved to be Dalton’s most formidable opponent as he was able to keep up with the latter in a fight. This is evident by how Knox was able to land multiple injuries to Dalton in their final duel, leaving many cuts, bruises, and some broken bones on him.
Given Knox’s desire to seek revenge following his crushing defeat and near-death experience, which undoubtedly would have left him humiliated, he will certainly be more aggressive and unrelenting in his next encounter with Dalton. It will be interesting to see how that pans out if a sequel is made.
The official synopsis for Road House (2024) reads:
“Ex-UFC fighter Dalton takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.”
