The Crow Movie Bill Skarsgård Remake: What Did Rochelle Davis Say About It?

Fans of the original The Crow film are wondering what star Rochelle Davis had to say about the new upcoming remake starring Bill Skarsgård. Here is what Davis has said about it.

What did Rochelle Davis say about The Crow remake with Bill Skarsgård?

Rochelle Davis expressed her opinion that Bill Skarsgård’s The Crow remake does not resemble anything about the character. She also expressed disgust at Skarsgård’s version of the character.

Speaking to TMZ, Rochelle Davis stated that after seeing the first images of Bill Skarsgård’s version of Eric Draven/The Crow from The Crow remake, she simply said “Yuck.”

While Davis did not bash Skarsgård’s casting as Draven or his acting abilities, the former Sarah Mohr actress expressed that his iteration of The Crow failed to capture the essence of Eric Draven, who according to her is supposed to be a good man with a good soul. She then claimed that The Crow in the remake film looked like the villains he was supposed to be fighting.

Rochelle Davis also took issue with The Crow remake’s lack of diversity and claimed that anyone other than a white man would have been a better choice for The Crow. She also claimed that she would not watch the remake when it hits theaters and even said she planned to call on fans to boycott the film close to its release date.

As per TMZ, Rochelle Davis’ sentiments echoed that of many fans of the original film that starred the late Brandon Lee. When first photos of Bill Skarsgård’s The Crow remake hit the web courtesy of Vanity Fair, fans reacted strongly and drew comparisons between the remake’s version of Eric Draven and Jared Leto’s take on the Joker from the first Suicide Squad film.

In entertainment elsewhere, Jack Black confirmed he will sing in the new live-action Minecraft movie. Also, Daniel Day-Lewis will stay retired from acting.
