Directed by Sonam Nair, Masaba Masaba is a biographical drama series streaming on Netflix. Season 1 premiered on August 28, 2020, and season 2 on July 29, 2022. If you are wondering whether there will be a season 3 of Masaba Masaba, this is what we have discovered.
Here’s all we know about Masaba Masaba Season 3 and whether or not it’s coming out.
Is there a Masaba Masaba Season 3 release date?
There is no Masaba Masaba Season 3 release date as the series was seemingly canceled or came to an end after the sophomore season.
In October 2023, News 18 quoted Neena Gupta stating that Netflix had decided not to renew the series for the third season. “I want to tell Netflix that it isn’t fair that they didn’t sanction us the third season of Masaba Masaba,” the actress said. “So many people ask me when the next season of the show will be out. I don’t know why they ask me.”
Gupta continued, “We were really looking forward to the third season. I don’t understand and know what Netflix’s strategy is and what kind of shows they actually want to make. I think they should make season three.”
However, a source close to the production, reportedly “slammed” the report and told the same outlet that Masaba Masaba got a natural conclusion by the end of the second season and there was never a plan for another chapter.
The cast includes Masaba Gupta as herself, Neena Gupta as herself, Neil Bhoopalam as Dhairya Rana, Rytasha Rathore as Gia, Kusha Kapila as Nicole, Barkha Singh as Aisha Mehrauli, Armaan Khera as Fateh, Kareema Barry as Qayanaat, Ram Kapoor as Shekhar Mirza, Nayan Shukla as Gehna, and more.
Why Masaba Masaba Season 3 might not be happening
Masaba Masaba Season 3 probably isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, the series was seemingly either canceled or ended after two seasons. ComingSoon will provide an update if the circumstances change.
The official synopsis for Masaba Masaba reads:
“Inspired by real events from Masaba Gupta’s life, “Masaba Masaba” follows the designer’s atypical journey through heterogeneous universes ranging from fashion to family, and documents her return to the singles market.”
