The Dry Season 2’s release date could arrive by the first half of 2024.
In April 2023, nearly a year after the conclusion of the inaugural season, The Dry was renewed for Season 2. Executive producer Emma Norton of Element Pictures, one of the production companies behind the series, said in a statement, “We all fell in love with the Sheridan family in Season one and it is such a treat to get to spend more time in their chaotic company. Nancy has a fantastic arc for this season and Paddy is returning, with our wonderful Irish cast and crew, to bring this next chapter to life.”
Dermot Horan, RTÉ’s director of acquisitions & co-productions, echoed Norton’s sentiments. “The first season of The Dry really resonated with our audiences,” he said. “We always felt that there were loads more stories to tell about the various members of the Sheridan family. So, we are delighted that Nancy, Paddy and the Element team are back to bring us another series. We are also really pleased to be working with our local partners, Screen Ireland and the BAI Sound and Vision Scheme, and our international ones, ITVX and ITV Studios, who are bringing this very local Irish story to UK and global audiences.”
It was reported in June 2023 that filming for Season 2 had begun. It’s probably safe to assume that the production has wrapped by now, and Season 2 will likely premiere sometime in the first half of 2024.

The cast for Season 2 includes Roisin Gallagher as Shiv Sheridan, Siobhán Cullen as Caroline Sheridan, Pom Boyd as Bernie Sheridan, Moe Dunford as Jack, Adam Richardson as Ant Sheridan, Emmanuel Okoye as Max, and Sam Keeley as Alex. Some of the other members of the cast are Michael McElhatton, Thommas Kane Byrne, Seán Doyle, Helen Norton, and Ruth Codd.
Where is The Dry Season 2 coming out?
The Dry Season 2 is anticipated to come out on RTÉ One and BritBox in the first half of 2024.
