With Argylle approaching its theatrical release, Henry Cavill fans wish to find out how much the movie is predicted to make at the box office. Is it destined to flop or does it have a shot at tasting success? Here’s all you need to know.
How much is Argylle predicted to make at the box office?
Argylle is reported to open between $20M-$30M and go on to make somewhere between $65M-$105M at the domestic box office.
The actual opening estimates haven’t been revealed at the time of writing. But Box Office Pro’s long-range forecast suggests that Argylle could open as low as $20 million in its first domestic weekend or go as high as $30 million.
As for the domestic total, Argylle could secure a $65 million box office run at the lowest. But if the film ends up with rave reviews, then it could go as high as $105 million domestically. The international numbers, however, don’t have any reported estimates yet.

Will Argylle flop or succeed?
Considering its hefty budget and low domestic box office estimates, Argylle will highly depend on its international take to make a profit.
Argylle was reportedly produced on a massive $200 million budget and Apple would have spent more on its marketing. It is Apple’s big attempt at a spy action thriller featuring a stellar cast involving familiar names such as Henry Cavill, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, and Dua Lipa.
Being another potential franchise starter for director Matthew Vaughn, it is expected to have a stellar run at the box office. But it needs to get closer to $400 million worldwide to make a profit. Considering that it is only predicted to make around $105 million at best in its entire domestic box office run, making another $250 – 300 million overseas will be a tough ask. So, Argylle may not be a profitable venture at the worldwide box office.
But it could still benefit Apple with its digital rental income and Apple TV Plus subscriptions after its theatrical run ends. So, even though Apple may not get a hugely profitable box office run out of Argylle, it could help produce a larger subscriber base for Apple TV Plus.
